My name is Obioma. I’m a researcher and finance professional interested in how financial, economic, and climate-related risks shape business decisions, investment, and capital allocation.
My research sits at the intersection of accounting and finance, with particular interests in climate-related financial risk, international finance, exchange-rate economics, sustainable infrastructure investment, and capital mobilization in emerging markets. I’m especially interested in understanding how broader economic and policy changes translate into firm-level financial outcomes and investment decisions.
Alongside research, I work in investment research and advisory, where I apply financial modelling, project finance, risk analysis, and economic reasoning to real-world investment and infrastructure questions.
Much of what drives me is a simple question: how can rigorous analysis help us make better decisions about capital, risk, and development? I’m particularly interested in applying these ideas to challenges facing Africa, while connecting local realities with broader developments in global finance and sustainability.
Outside work, I enjoy board games (Chess and Scrabble), the gym, and running. I’m always happy to discuss research, finance, development, or — if the opportunity arises — play a game of chess.
